This page is in remembrance of Steve. A Marine Veteran, Steve was a great member of our club and will be missed by all. He had built so many planes that I decided to just start his page with the one he was last working on. It is a Telemaster with a twelve-foot wingspan . It is a kit from Carolina Custom Kits. Carolina Custom Kits is located here in North Carolina near Asheville. The completion of this kit is now under the attention and in the capable hands of our great WebMaster Danny.

Steve Glanovsky's Twelve Foot Telemaster
Steve ordered this kit from Carolina Custom Kits. He was last working on the fuselage and waiting on the tail feathers which were not in the box with the kit. Steve had talked to Mark at CCKits and Mark was going to bring them to Steve during his next trip to Charlotte. Steve ordered a EME 60cc for this plane and the best I can tell it was going to have 12 servos on 7 channels. If you click on any of the pictures you will see just how big this plane is. Every piece of balsa you see in the room is for this plane. It is hard to image until you have seen it in person.
In the picture to the left below you can see the gas tank inside the fuselage. The middle picture is the engine. It's an EME 60cc gas with electric start. The right picture is all the remaining wood for this project.
The gas tank was strapped down but Steve noticed it did not lineup with the hole in the firewall. After checking the plans, which where incorrect, Steve corrected the problem and was ready to move on.
The next seven pictures are all of the left wing. Six foot of wing for one side. CCKits only sent plans for the left wing so Steve went outside in the back yard and soaked his wing plans with Crisco. The oil makes the paper transparent so Steve can flip them over and use them from the back side for the right wing.
Seen in these next two pictures, Steve had started on the right wing while the left one and the fuselage sit in the corner waiting.
Shown below the right wing is finished, and Steve had started covering the left wing. The picture on the right below shows the locking mechanism in the fuselage for the payload drop bay. In the bottom two pictures, Steve and Danny check out the hinges in the wing, and a close-up of the wing hinges.
Steve's Third B-17
Donated by Steve and given away at our 2021 Swap Meet.
Bob S., Steve G., and Steve T. tuning Steve's B-17 at the clubs flying field on 3-1-2020.
Shown here is Steve's B-17 in work on his custom build bench.
Lots of engines in this baby and beautiful work by Steve.
More of Steve's B-17 in early stages of build.
Lots of work to ensure all the engines properly aligned.
A Couple Other Builds by Steve
Seen here is Steve's modified Dynaflight Butterfly. He converted it to a bolt-on low wing, removed the wing dihedral, added flaps, ailerons, spoilers, and a canopy with pilot. I think that is an O.S. .25 SX on the front.
And here is yet another Telemaster of Steve's. Beautiful work, and yes Steve liked yellow.
